I have the GOG version and launching it via galaxy once makes it not crash on launch the next time I launch it via my start menu shortcut to the EXE. It's consistent and not random, launching via galaxy always works, and at least once via EXE after, and once it starts crashing on startup only launching via galaxy again fixes it. Dumb as hell.
Does it crash during the loading screen after going the scene with the money? I've played it through about 5x now, trying different combinations, but it crashes every time. If that di'dn't work, look for the \Life Is Strange\_CommonRedist\vcredist folder, and install those manually. And start LiS manually too, from the \Life Is Strange\Binaries\Win32 folder. If there are any errors, you'll see em that way (the Steam UI tends to mask those errors). P.S.
